Better hygiene through professional wastewater technology

20 December 2023

We are rethinking hygiene in the food industry from the ground up. In the truest sense of the word. Soils can be hygienically impaired by bringing in dirt. To prevent this, PHT offers, among other things, special sole cleaning machines. Stagnant water, which is produced after cleaning machines or in wet rooms, is also problematic. This is where PHT wastewater technology comes into play.

How does wastewater technology work?

Wastewater technology is used for the rapid drying of soils. Drainage channels and/or floor drains, i.e. gullies, ensure that no backwater forms. This is because stagnant water is a possible source of bacteria and thus a risk of contamination. Depending on requirements and soil conditions, point drains, slotted channels and box gutters are equipped through which the water can drain off quickly. This requires skilful integration into the premises. The PHT wastewater technology is made of stainless steel, which is germ-inhibiting and also easy to clean.

Advantages of PHT wastewater technology:

  • In combination with foam cleaning, the system offers the highest level of hygiene safety.
  • Drains avoid backwater and thus germ foci.
  • Gutters and drains are made of stainless steel 1.4301.
  • The system is easy to clean.
  • It is suitable for different floors and rooms.

Areas of application for wastewater technology

PHT wastewater technology was developed for hygiene-sensitive areas. It is used in slaughterhouses, butchers, butchers, dairies, fish factories, bakeries and other food establishments. Even in areas where foam cleaning takes place, functioning wastewater technology is essential. The systems are designed in such a way that they can be flexibly adapted to different soil conditions.

1. Floors of the production areas
In production facilities where food is processed, liquids are generated, whether by cleaning processes or by the production process itself.

2. Wet rooms
In areas where low-pressure foam cleaning is used, wastewater technology ensures that floors dry quickly.

3. Waste disposal areas In areas where food waste is collected and disposed of, operations are equally important, as these areas
often need to be hosed down with water and cleaning solutions.
